New and memorable experiences were constant from this series, and I still find myself wanting some of the series' discarded mechanics and decisions back.Įven if I jumped into a new Pokemon game today, there wouldn't be new mechanics that impress me. I never played a game with a type system before. I never played a game as open as Pokemon before that point. Yes, the point I was at in my personal life was so much more carefree, but also I miss how new everything was. On one hand, I miss so much from those days. I definitely have a wide range of emotions when I look back.
